KayakPro CatchForce is a specialised training platform designed to develop the most important part of the paddling stroke – the catch. If it is one of the key phases of the stroke, why not strengthen exactly that?
The trainer gives the athlete a flat, stable working platform. Travel, tension cords and the rail incline create resistance that reproduces real paddling mechanics – the kayak is “pulled” past the blade planted in the water, which becomes the anchor point.
CatchForce builds muscle memory and teaches correct technique: top-hand support, bottom-hand drive, upper-body and trunk rotation.
Resistance can be increased:
- by adding extra weights to the smoothly gliding kayak platform;
- by using stronger resistance cords;
- by connecting the platform to a standard gym weight stack.
